An interactive lab for investigating regular or irregular polygons. Use the virtual protractor to measure internal and external angles (the line extension function makes this easy). The polygon vertices can be dragged and snapped to your choice of background grid. This software is also ideal for exploring Pythagoras' theorem, triangles in general or the relationship between area and perimeter of shapes. This activity has been specifically designed with whole-class teaching in mind and works particularly well with an interactive whiteboard or data projector. A versatile teaching resource. Requires Macromedia Flash.
