Peppered moth natural selection simulation. A interactive resource for whole-class teaching
interactive whiteboards or data projectors.
A wonderful activity that shows how differing camouflage
can lead to selective predation and hence a change in the population. The pupil
plays the part of a predatory bird hunting for moths in the forest. Depending
on whether you choose to hunt in a pre-indunstrial or post-industrial forest
you willl find either the dark moth or the light moth easier to catch. Go on.
Have a go. An outstanding whole-class teaching resource. Requires Macromedia Flash.
